We raise Katahdin Sheep from a registered flock. Our Katahdin sheep are raised on pasture through rotational grazing, and the lamb produces an excellent flavor being grass fed. We breed and raise our Katahdin sheep so that we can ensure the quality of the meat and feed they eat. That way you know that your are getting the highest quality lamb.
American Guinea Hogs are a rare breed of pig and are about half the size of normal breeds. Guinea hogs were once one of the most popular breeds in the world because of their amazing lard content. They are ideal for the small farm. We have breeding hogs and raise pigs from farrow to finish. The unique flavor and lard content makes for excellent flavor and tender pork.
We have added some Gloucestershire old spots pigs. Gloucestershire old spots are a large breed that are great for pasture and their excellent meat quality.

Proper grazing management has many benefits for the farmer, animals, and ecology of the pasture. Farmers benefit from improved grazing and having to feed less supplemental feed, reducing overall cost. The animals have an excellent source of feed with fresh pasture. Lastly, the ecology of the pasture is improved with unwanted plant reduction, improved grass and legume growth, and reduced need for re-seeding and tilling.
Raising meat sustainably is a practice of being a grass farmer more than raising livestock. The livestock are the tools to properly manage the pasture. The health and improved ecology lead to benefits for the animals and the farmer.
We employ an intensive rotational grazing system where animals are moved to different paddocks every few days. Our pork and lamb is raised on pasture in the open fields for as long as the season will allow.
